‘455’ farewell tour raises £26k for mental health

Southern's final Class 455 arrives at Brighton

The final run by a Southern Class 455 EMU raised more than £26,000 for mental health charity Mind.

The ‘Metro Marauder’ tour operated by Govia Thameslink Railway ran from London Victoria to Brighton and back, covering a number of unusual routes for the class.

Representatives of Mind joined more than 500 enthusiasts to promote their work to combat mental health issues, with collection buckets and a raffle boosting funds raised by ticket sales and cash collection.
