ABERDEEN TO INVERURIE REDOUBLED TRACK LAYOUT

Recognition of the significance of the rail link between two of Scotland’s seven cities has been a long time coming. Aberdeen is a venerable city on the north east coast, whereas Inverness on the inner Moray Firth only received city status in 2000, but the railway between the two was in a time warp.
