ASLEF plans Northern and LNER strikes

Drivers at LNER and Northern are to strike on 1 March over a claimed failure of the companies to comply with existing agreements.

ASLEF says the LNER strikes are because of ‘a failure by the company to adhere to the machinery of negotiation’ about its abrogation of diagramming and rostering agreements. The Northern strike is also claimed to be because of ‘a failure by the company to adhere to existing agreements.’

An overtime ban will also run from 29 February to 2 March.
