BB for repairs on Western

BALFOUR BEATTY has been awarded a five-year Reactive Building and Civils Contract by Network Rail. Awarded through the Route

Building and Civils Frameworks, the reactive aspect of the contract requires the company to execute short-notice repairs along the Great Western route from London to Penzance.

The contract began in spring 2018, with the reactive element valued at up to £50 million over the five-year term. To service the contract, BB plans to open a new office in the Swindon area, and will have six staff members and an additional two graduates dedicated to the contract.
