TransPennine Express will stand down its Nova 3 sets, comprising Class 68s and Mk 5a carriages, in December, although they will remain on lease until May 2024. The move is one of a number of measures introduced by DfT OLR Holdings Ltd (DOHL) to reduce the complexity of TPE’s operations, along with temporary timetable cuts (see opposite), following a review of the business.
