The North East is at the heart of our railway history – something which will come into focus in a couple of years’time as the industry marks 200 years since the opening of the Stockton and Darlington Railway. This historic milestone will also be marked by significant changes to today’s railway at Darlington, providing better facilities and an improved operational layout.
