EUSTON DEVELOPMENT PARTNER SOUGHT

THE DEPARTMENT for Transport and Network Rail have begun the process to appoint a long-term strategic Master Development Partner for the redevelopment and regeneration of land at Euston as part of the station’s redevelopment forHS2.

The MDP will provide private sector expertise and investment to design, build and manage a long-term development at Euston. This will involve the development of a planning brief, detailed planning and interface with the station construction work and management of the completed assets. The area concerned comprises 53 acres, including the new HS2 terminal, current station and its approach and adjacent Network Rail freehold lands.

The aim is to deliver up to 14,100 new jobs, up to 3,800 new homes and up to 280,000 square metres of new commercial floor space alongside an enhanced public realm. The development work could also include the incorporation of a major interchange for Crossrail 2, the proposed north-east to south-west link across the capital which could open in the early 2030s.
