With just a couple of weeks to go until Railtex 2017 opens its doors at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham on 9 May, final preparations are being made for what promises to be another very busy event.

Advance registration for free entry to the show via is recommended. This avoids payment of an on-site entry charge and gives unrestricted access to the exhibition and to the strong programme of keynote speeches, industry updates and technical seminars which runs over all three days of Railtex. Online registration closes on 8 May.

A notable feature of this year’s show will be the large number of exhibitors that have not previously taken part in a Railtex event. More than 140 companies – nearly one-third of those present – fall into this category, though some have previously exhibited at Infrarail. For visitors from the industry, this offers plenty of opportunities to learn about the capabilities of firms that are now part of the UK supply chain or aspire to join it.
