The door in action: the aim has been to minimise the number of moving parts.
The HST will be with us for some time yet. Current fleets do not meet the Persons with Reduced Mobility (PRM) regulations which come into force in 2020 – but the fitting of power doors and retention toilets will see a good number remain in service past this date.
