Integrated Rail Plan axes full HS2 network

The Government’s long-awaited Integrated Rail Plan for the North and Midlands is cutting full construction of High Speed 2 Phase 2b, which will now not run throughout from Birmingham to Leeds. The Government says the plan will cost £96 billion, but much of this has already been announced.
