MIDLANDS SECTION

There will be no Midlands section meeting in December.

SIMON FEAST WRITES:

We had our first webinar in October from Mike Goggin on ‘train stations are not just arrival and departure locations’; this very interesting presentation can be downloaded from the website.

We had a fascinating talk from Ian MacLaren in November on London Midland’s different and rather successful approach to innovation, in the intimate surroundings of a London pub.

This was the first time we had started an evening meeting in a pub as opposed to ending up in one and it looked like Ian wasn’t going to be allowed to leave as there were so many questions!

We are grateful to London Midland who sponsored this event and supplied the refreshments. We would again welcome feedback on what members think of these new approaches over the coming year of exciting transformation for the RSA.

You can read Modern Railways’ write-ups of previous RSA talks on the Activities - Past Meetings page of the website. Details of membership benefits and how to join the CILT are on the home page of the website. The contact email for CILT membership queries is membership@ciltuk.org.uk.
