Siemens Mobility is set to become a fully-fledged manufacturer of rolling stock in the UK, with a new assembly plant in Goole in East Yorkshire being planned. Not only will Goole feature vehicle assembly, but also warehousing of spares for the Siemens Mobility rolling stock fleet in the UK and several ancillary activities in a ‘Rail Village’.
