NR appoints Morton as Route Services MD

Network Rail has appointed Rob Morton as its new Managing Director for Route Services. Mr Morton replaces Susan Cooklin, who is leaving the infrastructure manager in March after 16 years’ service.

Morton joined NR as Supply Chain Director in June 2017 and has headed NR’s relationships and commercial arrangements with suppliers, led a supply chain cost reduction programme which has saved a claimed £330 million and improved its logistics capability.

Route Services provides services for NR’s routes and regions from a national team. It includes business and technical services, commercial and procurement, engineering services, IT services, telecommunications, supply chain operations, finance and business support and human resources.
