The Network Rail team and four vehicles full of tools to aid Ukrainian Railways. NETWORK RAIL
A team of Network Rail staff and supply chain partners have delivered four vehicles loaded with spares and tools including generators, jacks, drills and cutting equipment in aid of Ukrainian Railways.
The aid came after Ukrainian Railways requested assistance from the international railway community via the International Union of Railways for equipment and spares to help keep their railway running.
Five NR staff drove the four vehicles through six countries in three days to Poland, from where Polish Railways delivered the vehicles.
The donation comes after a trainload of humanitarian aid was sent by UK Rail for Ukraine.
