WHITTINGTON LEAVES ORR
OFFICE OF Rail and Road Chief Executive Joanna Whittington left the regulator on 5 October, with Director of Railway Markets and Economics John Larkinson appointed to the role on an interim basis.
Ms Whittington has moved to take up the post of Director General, Energy and Security at the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy. She became permanent Chief Executive at ORR in February 2017, having held the role on an interim basis since Richard Price stepped down at the end of 2015. Prior to that she was ORR’s Director of Railway Markets and Economics and a member of the ORR board.
