Queen Street nears completion

Going for gold: the redevelopment of Glasgow Queen Street station was nearing completion when the coronavirus pandemic hit. This view from 14 March shows the concourse with a lift shaft being completed on the far right. The Office of Rail and Road granted authorisation for the new infrastructure on 24 March, excluding platforms 6 and 7. The redevelopment is the culmination of the Edinburgh Glasgow Improvement Programme (EGIP).
