Signalling frameworks awarded

NETWORK RAIL has awarded 17 framework contracts to deliver minor signalling works during Control Period 6 (2019-24), worth an estimated £215 million.

A total of 17 route-based lots have been awarded, as follows:

▀ Anglia – VolkerRail, Linbrooke (value by lot £5 to £10 million);

▀ London North Eastern and East Midlands – VolkerRail, Balfour Beatty (£30 to £40 million);

▀ London North Western – VolkerRail, Linbrooke (£10 to £20 million);

▀ Scotland – OSL, AMCO Giffen (£2.5 to £10 million);

▀ South East – Amaro Signalling, AMCO Giffen (£5 to £10 million);

▀ Wales – Amey, AMCO Giffen (£2 to £10 million);

▀ Wessex – Amey, Balfour Beatty (£20 to £40 million);

▀ Western – Amey, Balfour Beatty, Linbrooke (£25 to £75 million).

The frameworks will deliver minor signalling and refurbishment works, typically component replacement, supporting Network Rail’s Works Delivery teams.

NR awarded signalling and telecoms framework contracts in April 2019, and the remaining tier, major signalling, will follow in January 2020
