The Government-sponsored Thameslink Programme has heralded one of the biggest capacity increases the UK rail industry has ever seen. The summer timetable change sees still more services and will require 93% of the Class 700 fleet available. This can only be achieved with reliable trains and a top-flight support system, especially when the trains end up in remote sidings at the ends of the system come night time.
