The Golden Whistles
There were some familiar faces and some perhaps more surprising winners at this year’s Golden Whistles awards. Now in their ninth year, the ‘Whistles’ honour the efforts of railway operators to drive for improved performance. The awards are organised by the Institution of Railway Operators (IRO) in conjunction with the Modern Railways Fourth Friday Club.
