Tram bridge rebuilding deal

TRANSPORT FOR London has appointed Morgan Sindall to replace two bridges on the Croydon tram network, with main construction works due to start in June. The joint project covers both the 120-year-old Blackhorse Lane bridge and nearby Addiscombe Park bridge and is expected to be completed with bridges reopened by January 2019. It was decided to replace the two bridges together to deliver time and cost savings for TfL and the London Borough of Croydon.
