Wherry resignalling blockade

SERVICES BETWEEN Reedham and Great Yarmouth via Berney Arms will be suspended for six months from 20 October to allow Network Rail to upgrade signalling equipment.

Part of the £68 million Norwich Yarmouth Lowestoft (NYL) resignalling project, the bulk of the work at Reedham Junction will take place in the nine days from 20 October, with a new track layout to be provided. However, Berney Arms services will be suspended until signalling is commissioned next April. The programme will also include level crossing works and installation of cables and lineside equipment cases.
