Can they do it? At more than 82% complete, the full delivery of Crossrail, aka the Elizabeth Line, would seem pretty much guaranteed. But what about that most elusive of achievements among major rail projects – that of delivery on time and on budget? If Crossrail leaders can make that come to pass, the programme’s place in engineering history will be assured.
