William Cook Rail is an engineering company serving train builders and operators from its world-leading foundry, machining and workshop facilities in Leeds.

 

New bogie components and couplers are manufactured from scratch in-house. Couplers, bogies and and ancillary components are overhauled for train builders and operators. Services offered include cleaning, shotblasting, non-destructive testing, repair welding in accordance with EN15085, re-machining, component replacement, painting and rebuild. William Cook uses its own high-energy radiography to confirm the integrity of all products. Laser scanning, MPI and UT complete the William Cook range of testing facilities.
