CROSS LONDON TRAINS STAKE SOLD

A CONSORTIUM of Dalmore Capital and Equitix Investment Management has acquired 3i Infrastructure’s 33.33% stake in Cross London Trains.

The lessor was established in 2011 to finance, own and maintain the 115 Siemens Class 700 trains for the Thameslink route. Revenue is based on a lease structure, with a Section 54 undertaking from the Department for Transport for the first 20 years, with full ownership of the trains being retained at the end of this initial period. The companies say the acquisition complements recent strategic acquisitions made by Dalmore and Equitix in the UK rail sector.

Other shareholders in the Cross London Trains consortium are Siemens Project Ventures GmbH and Innisfree Ltd, with Eversholt Rail providing project and asset management services.
