On Monday 7 March, Modern Railways was invited to join a preview trip on the Elizabeth Line from Paddington to Liverpool Street and return. The new railway between Paddington and Abbey Wood is on course to open in the first half of 2022 - Editor Philip Sherratt introduces the trip, while Crossrail CEO Mark Wild and Transport for London's Chief Operating Officer Andy Lord explain more about the railway, the current state of the project and how it will be operated.
