Tractors on track: on 31 May 2017 loco No 66433 failed at St Andrews Junction in the Birmingham area whilst working the 08.20 Daventry to Wentloog train of Tesco containers. Direct Rail Services’ Nos 37218/609/602 were dispatched from Crewe Gresty Bridge to assist: No 37218 took the troubled ‘66’ back to Gresty Bridge, while Nos 37609 and 37602 took the train forward to Wentloog. The two are seen here rounding Pheasant Curve west of Newport while making what our photographer terms ‘a right noise’. Martin Turner
