JOYNER TO LEAD ATW
ARRIVA TRAINS Wales has appointed Tom Joyner as its new managing director, replacing Ian Bullock who is to take up a business development role at Arriva.
Mr Joyner was formerly passenger services director for London Midland and takes up his new post on 2 October. He has over 20 years’ experience in the rail industry, having joined LM in 2013. Prior to that he worked in the field of future rail systems at Network Rail, and before that held board and leadership roles within FirstGroup and National Express train operating companies.
Mr Joyner’s replacement at London Midland is Mark Steward, formerly operations director at South West Trains. Mr Steward joined LM in August; prior to his role at SWT he was operations director at East Midlands Trains and has also worked at National Express, First North Western and Merseyrail Electrics.
Unipart appoints McLoughlin
UNIPART RAIL has appointed David McLoughlin as a non-executive director to joins its rail board.
