PROVIDING ON-BOARD POWER

Turbo Power Systems has developed Auxiliary Power Supply (APS) units for London Underground’s Central Line fleet on behalf of Bombardier, which will be utilised to service on-board equipment. The APS units incorporate an innovative DC-DC power module using silicon carbide technology, which can sustain much higher voltages and can be switched at a much higher frequency, hence equipment can be made smaller with improved reliability.

SMART INFORMATION

Arrakis is a smart communication platform developed by Nexus Alpha which helps staff make best use of the information available throughout the rail network. It consumes real-time, historical and third-party data, processes, analyses, optimises and contextualises it, and then presents it in an intelligent form that keeps employees and customers up-to-date and informed about what is happening across the rail network.
