RVE MEET THE BUYER 2020

AS WE start to emerge from the Covid-19 crisis and try to get back to normality, Rail Forum Midlands (RFM) in partnership with the Department for International Trade (DIT) is pleased to bring you RVE Meet The Buyer 2020.

RVE Meet The Buyer: supplier applications are now open for the event within an event at Modern Railways RVE.

RFM, now in its third year supporting the event, has once again arranged a fantastic line-up of buyers ready to listen to companies pitching great products, services and innovations. The event within an event takes place at the Modern Railways RVE show, held on 5 November at Derby Arena.

The supplier application arrangements are slightly different this year in that there will be a two-stage process. Suppliers will be required to complete an initial online registration followed by personalised applications to each buyer, to help make the most of the opportunity for all parties.

Angel, Eversholt, Porterbrook, Bombardier, CAF, Hitachi, Siemens, Unipart, TVS SCS, Gemini, Chrysalis, Pullman Rail, Arriva, TfL, Nottingham Trams and TDI have already signed up as buyers, along with SBB and Stadler from Switzerland and Alstom France.

All the buyers have been asked to identify what specifically they are looking for so we can inform suppliers in order to tailor their applications.

Applications can be made by registering via the Rail Forum Midlands website at www.midlandsrail.co.uk/rvemtb.

Suppliers must register by 4 September, with the second application stage closing on 11 September. Itineraries will then be sent out on 29 October. Please do remember that RFM does not have any input into who the buyers choose to meet – this is entirely down to the buyers working on the information provided by the suppliers.

We recognise that this year has been particularly challenging for events and we look forward to delivering a safe and productive RVE Meet The Buyer. At this stage, we can confirm that meetings will be limited to one supplier representative only. It is also likely we will be required to host fewer appointments this year, making it important suppliers submit strong and targeted applications.

Please note that due to the logistics involved in organising RVE Meet The Buyer there can be no extension to the deadlines for registration and application.
