A quiet month after the brisk activity over the Christmas and New Year period with only two main items to report: the reopening of the line from Preston to Blackpool South and the closure of Huddersfield and Healey Mills signal boxes.
EAST MIDLANDS
Derby (4:1B)
As part of the ongoing remodelling of Derby a trailing crossover has been installed between the Down Main (127M 78ch) and the Up Main (127M 74ch) south of Derby station on the way towards Spondon. This crossover will be clipped out of use until final commissioning at a later date.
CROSSRAIL
Between Whitechapel and Pudding Mill Lane & Abbey Wood (2:2B/C/D & 5:5) Crossrail lines from Whitechapel through Stepney Green Junction to Pudding Mill Lane and Abbey Wood have been reported as having their overhead line equipment energised at 25kV.
LONDON NORTH EASTERN
Rossington iPort (2:34A) The connection into Rossington inland port (iPort) at 14M 75ch has now been commissioned.
