2+5 HST for 2021 Staycation Express

Rail Charter Services’ popular tourist service over the Settle and Carlisle line will return this summer, but with a change in rolling stock to a 2+5 HST set and a different service pattern including a trip to Carlisle.

GTR to stand down ‘365s’

In May Govia Thameslink Railway is to withdraw its fleet of 21 Class 365 EMUs, used on Great Northern services out of King’s Cross.

Metro cab mock-up unveiled

Parsons Tunnel rockfall shelter extension

Plans have been submitted by Network Rail for a 209-metre extension to the rockfall shelter at the north end of Parsons Tunnel, between Dawlish and Teignmouth.
