Merseyside investment: this is how Kirkdale depot could look in future, following completion of a construction project by BAM Nuttall and arrival of a new fleet of 52 metro trains from Stadler, which are all set to be in service by 2021. Metro Mayor of the Liverpool City Region, Steve Rotheram, initiated the £20 million building project at Kirkdale on 16 May 2018.
