Network Rail is starting a £2.1 million programme to repair the Aire Bridge in North Yorkshire on the line from Hensall Junction to Drax power station.
The bridge will be closed every Saturday night between until 17 October, with structural repairs and a new waterproofing layer installed in addition to new track. Most work will take place during a nine-day blockade from 27 August to 5 September.
Hirst Road level crossing, between Carlton and Hirst Courtney will also be closed on those dates to allow NR vehicles to access the area.
