PLUMMER TO LEAVE RDG

RAIL DELIVERY Group Chief Executive Paul Plummer has confirmed his intention to retire this autumn. RDG says the search for Mr Plummer’s successor has already begun and he will stay in his role until this person is identified.

Mr Plummer joined RDG in November 2015. He was previously group strategy director at Network Rail, having worked for the company since 2002, and was also one of the two Network Rail members of the RDG.

CUNLIFFE FOR BEACON CEO

BEACON RAIL Leasing has appointed Adam Cunliffe as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective from 1 July.

Mr Cunliffe joins Beacon from Freightliner, where he is currently Chief Commercial Officer. He joined Freightliner in 1999 and has held a number of senior leadership roles since first being appointed to the Freightliner Group board in 2002. At Beacon he replaces Ted Gaffney as CEO.

Beacon is headquartered in Luxembourg, with its current portfolio including 337 locomotives, over 1,000 freight wagons and 550 passenger train vehicles and inter-city coaches on lease across Europe. The company was acquired by institutional investors advised by J. P. Morgan Asset Management in April 2017.
