Plans for Snow Hill submitted

SHED HELPS OUT ON THE MOORS

THE WEST Midlands Rail Executive has submitted a planning application for a third access to Birmingham’s Snow Hill station. The new entrance will create a direct link from the station to the West Midlands Metro stop at St Chad’s and will be built in a vacant railway arch. A concrete wall will be knocked through linking to the second entrance which was constructed on Livery Street a decade ago. New ticketing and travel information facilities will also be provided as part of the £1.5 million project. Contractor Barhale has already been appointed to build the new entrance, and subject to planning permission work is expected to begin this summer.
