May was, as expected, a quieter month with significant works only taking place at Blackfriars and Bolton plus at Elgin and Forres on the Aberdeen to Inverness project. More overhead wires have been energised on the Great Western project and also at Ilford depot for Crossrail. One new station opening at Cambridge North also took place.

ANGLIA

Ilford Depot (2:5A) A few minor corrections to the latest Eastern Quail are required following confirmation of the revised layout at the depot due to Crossrail alterations. Shop ‘A’ lines 6, 7 and 8 terminate in buffer stops inside the shop at the eastern end, they do not continue out to the new Crossrail sidings. The Crossrail sidings themselves are as drawn (other than three more terminate in buffer stops) and are lettered A to H and J & K, A being the southernmost dead-end line, B to D continue into Shop ‘A’ as roads 3 to 5, with E to K also being dead-end lines.
