CIRO hosts two-day learning conference

The Chartered Institution of Railway Operators is to host a two-day virtual learning event on 29/30 November, open to members and non-members.

It offers more than 30 hours of learning and development, and the Institution says it has been created with personal development in mind. Speakers include Network Rail Chief Executive Andrew Haines, Department for Transport Rail Investment Strategy manager David Sexton, HS1 Ltd Chief Executive Dyan Crowther, Great Western Railway Managing Director Mark Hopwood and more.

Topics covered include incident and emergency management, performance management, delivering passenger and freight services, managing safety, delivering customer services, operational planning and timetabling, train movement control systems, rolling stock and fleet management, railway engineering maintenance and renewals management, people and change, railway organisations business context, and finance and investment planning.

Attendees will be able to take part in discussions, question and answer sessions and review specialist areas.
