MK 4 coaches ventured into Wales for the first time on 28 January, when a four-coach set plus Driving Van Trailer began a series of training runs on the North Wales coast line. The initial run included the Llandudno branch, as the coaches could initially replace the Mk 3 set on the Manchester to North Wales diagram (which includes an evening working to Llandudno). Class 67 locos have been adapted for push-pull working with TfW’s three sets of Mk 4 stock.
