Brown stays at TfL

TRANSPORT FOR London Commissioner Mike Brown has postponed his departure from the organisation in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.

Mr Brown planned to leave in May to become chair of the delivery authority for the restoration and renewal of the Houses of Parliament. His departure was to coincide with the Mayoral elections which were due to take place at the same time but have now been postponed by a year.

Mr Brown became Commissioner in July 2015, having previously been Managing Director of London Underground. He first joined LU in 1989 and became Chief Operating Officer in 2003 before moving to Heathrow Airport.
